One day after landing Flower Mound four-star offensive lineman Drew Evers, Rhett Lashlee and SMU were back at it on the recruiting trail.

Evan Goodwin, a four-star offensive tackle from Bauxite, Ark., committed to the Mustangs Friday night. The news was first reported by On3’s Billy Embody.

Goodwin chose SMU over Missouri, Mississippi State and Oklahoma State. He made official visits to each of those schools over the last two months, as well as Wisconsin and Notre Dame.

The 6-foot-7, 325-pounder ranks as the No. 2 player in the state of Arkansas, as well as the the No. 19 offensive tackle and No. 238 overall player in the Class of 2026, according to 247 Sports’ composite rating.

Goodwin is SMU’s 19th commitment and sixth four-star prospect to commit to the Mustangs in this recruiting cycle. According to On3’s 2026 team recruiting rankings, SMU’s class is No. 17 in the country and No. 4 in the ACC.
