A clothing store that specializes in second-hand designer clothes in Studio City was burglarized over the weekend, NBC4 Investigates learned Monday.

The shop on Ventura Boulevard is owned by Claudia Wells, best known for playing Jennifer Parks in the film “Back to the Future.”

The Los Angeles Police Department said the burglary happened last Saturday at around 7:30 a.m. as thieves smashed the front glass door to gain access.

Burglars stole more than $30,000 worth of high-end clothes and accessories, the LAPD told NBC4 Investigates.

A neighbor said it’s not the first time Armani Wells was broken into.

“(Burglary) is part of life now. Studio City is not what it used to be, the same way LA is not what it used to be,” said Kati Langianese, who owns Universal Mail and Business next door. “Crime in this city is out of control because there’s no consequences.”

Langianese suspected the thieves used special tools to break into the clothing store.

“They broke the back window, took out the bars, which I don’t know how they did that,” she said.

By the time LAPD officers responded to the store, the thieves had already gotten away.

Police Monday tried to determine the whereabouts of the suspects.
