A cyclist has serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in northeast Calgary on Monday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of 36 Street NE and 20 Avenue NE around 3:20 p.m. for reports of a crash involving a vehicle and a cyclist.
The cyclist, a person in their 70s, was rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
No other injuries have been reported.
36 Street NE was shut down in both directions between 26 Avenue NE and 16 Avenue NE. The road closures ended around 7:30 p.m.
There was also no CTrain service between Rundle and Marlborough LRT station for several hours. Trains resumed regular operations through the area around 6 p.m.
