Adelaide has never seen a health and wellness destination quite like this. CHANGE, the boutique House of Health concept that redefined fitness when it launched in Broadbeach in 2020, is set to open its first South Australian location this spring at the landmark 88 O’Connell development in North Adelaide.

The venue itself is a statement in luxury. Behind the sculptural facade of 88 O’Connell, CHANGE is a space filled with sleek timber, steel and soft finishes. It’s designed to lift energy and mood, the moment you arrive.
“When you’re inside you just feel good,” says Steve. “It feels upmarket and elevated, but we’re not about being exclusive.”
“We’ve used only the best equipment and finishes. We’ve lifted the bar to make sure people have the best experience.”
Every detail has been considered. A traditional sauna, an infrared sauna, a steam room, twin ice baths, and a 40° magnesium pool are all built in.A private spa suite is available for those who want exclusivity, complete with a sauna, shower and ice bath of its own.
The facility blends state of the art training with spaces for recovery and connection. Yoga and breath work are hosted not just in studio but with spring and summer activations on a lush sky deck overlooking O’Connell Street and the city skyline.
With reformer Pilates, functional group training, yoga, breathwork, and even a run club spilling into the leafy streets, the program covers every discipline. There is Up to 82 classes run each week with each membership complimented by access to 24 hour open gymso members have endless variety. Wellness facilities will be open early until late.

CHANGE’s arrival cements 88 O’Connell as Adelaide’s new prestige precinct alongside the city’s most desirable new dining and retail destinations, including Mercato and Yakisan. Lisa and Steve thank Jamie McClurg and the team at Commercial & General, along with Tandem Building Group — the team behind the precinct — for helping their dream come to life.
In just two weeks of soft promotion, more than eight hundred people have already registered their interest.
“The membership itself is something special” Steve says. “There’s nothing like it in Adelaide.
But beyond the luxury and the lifestyle, Lisa and Steve say CHANGE is about building a community hub in this great suburb, “Becoming the heart beat of the area”
“Its brings People together that may not usually interact – the Strength and condition, the Pilates and the wellness crowdsunder one roof It’s a community that connects on a different level,” adds Lisa.
