New Yorkers will soon have another exclusive hangout in the heart of the city.
A new private members’ club is set to open near Bryant Park in Manhattan this November, further underscoring a growing desire for such private establishments.
Housed within 520 Fifth Avenue—coincidentally, just a short stroll from the Robb Report office—Moss will offer an “unmatched blend of hospitality, culture, wellness, and community,” according to press materials. Founded by Colleen and Hailey Brooks, the club is described as a “home away from home” with cozy yet theatrical spaces that capture the Big Apple’s buzz but also provide respite from it.
“When conceiving Moss, we imagined an oasis where New Yorkers could exhale before braving the subway or rushing to catch the Metro-North for the long commute home to the Hudson Valley,” the founders said in a statement.

Vicky Charles and her eponymous firm spearheaded the interior design of the expansive five-story space. Charles was the design director at Soho House for 20 years and is thus adept at shaping club aesthetics, incorporating eclectic modern decor without sacrificing historic charm.
Moss will offer 10,000 square feet of dining and social space, as well as 20,000 square feet of wellness space. Entering the private lobby on the ground floor, members can head straight upstairs to the club. Level two is outfitted with three distinct venues—names are yet to be announced—including a restaurant, an expansive corner bar with city views, and a piano lounge for live performance.
The third floor, or the “Symposium,” is designed to foster cultural and intellectual exchange, with a podcast recording studio, a vinyl listening lounge, an intimate cocktail bar and lounge, a billiards and games room, and five private dining rooms. Moss will reportedly offer “exceptional food, innovative beverages, and impeccable service” from morning through late night, with a chef and partner to be announced.

Back downstairs, the two lower levels house Bedrock Aquatics & Athletics. One floor offers high-tech equipment, personalized training, fitness and Pilates studios, a golf simulator, and a full-size Pickleball court; the other features a spa with saunas, a hammam, three thermal pools, massage studios, and steam rooms. Members can also enjoy IV therapy, aesthetic treatments, massages, and the like. (Membership fees have not yet been disclosed.)
N.Y.C. is experiencing something of a members-only boom, with multiple new openings in the past few years, including the Aman Club in 2022, ZZ’s Club New York in late 2023, and Maxime’s earlier this year. You’re simply spoilt for choice.
