Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens will host a three-week panel mosaic workshop at Magic Gardens Studio, 1002 Watkins St.
On three consecutive Thursdays, Oct. 16, 23 and 30, join Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens Preservation Team to create a 24″ x 16” mosaic panel using the Zagar Method. Taught by staff trained by PMG creator Isaiah Zagar himself, you’ll learn the process from start to finish.
In the first week, you’ll create a colorful “blob” to use in your design. Week two is all about mastering the art of breaking tile and cutting mirror, followed by placing your tiles to plan your masterpiece. Finally, you’ll grout your mosaic and take your finished artwork home.
All supplies are included in the workshop fee of $210. Participants must be at least 18 years old and tickets are non-refundable.
