The weekend’s refreshing temperatures are slowly departing North Texas, but Tuesday’s high should still stay below normal.

The maximum temperature measured Saturday dropped all the way down to 79 degrees, over 10 degrees below the season average. The heat has been ever so slowly creeping back in since, with highs in the lower 80s measured Sunday and Monday, and a high of 88 degrees forecasted for Tuesday.

The temperature’s gradual climb is expected to continue throughout the rest of the week, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. By Thursday, the high should return to the mid-90s, where it’s expected to stay throughout the weekend.

Skies should be clear throughout the week, with no notable chances of rain on the horizon. Humidity should be very mild until the end of the work week, when it is predicted to increase somewhat.
