The Tampa Bay Buccaneers hit the road for a second straight week to take on the Houston Texans on the Monday Night Football stage on September 15. The 1-0 Buccaneers are seeking their first-ever win in Houston and their first victory against the Texans since 2003. Houston is 0-1 after a 14-9 loss to the Rams in Los Angeles in Week One.

Here are some additional numbers to know about the state of the Buccaneers and their second game of the 2025 campaign:

The number of consecutive seasons the Buccaneers have won their season opener after last Sunday’s victory in Atlanta. Only Tampa Bay and Philadelphia have an active streak that long. The Buccaneers could also make it five straight years with a 2-0 start with a win on Monday night in Houston.

Haason Reddick’s pressure rate in his Buccaneer debut on Sunday, as he logged the team’s only sack and led the Bucs with seven quarterback pressures, including three on which the pressure occurred in under 2.5 seconds.

The number of weeks out of the last 73 in the regular season that the Buccaneers have been in first place or tied for first in the NFC South. The Buccaneers were the only team in the division to win in Week One as they seek a record fifth straight NFC South title.

The passer rating for Atlanta quarterback Michael Penix in Week One when he targeted players being covered by cornerback Zyon McCollum. McCollum allowed just three receptions for 29 yards in the game and also tied his career high with 10 tackles.

The number of touchdown passes that Baker Mayfield has thrown in the regular season since arriving in Tampa in 2003, after tossing three more in the Week One win over the Falcons. That leads all NFL quarterbacks in that span.

Baker Mayfield’s passer rating in the final two minutes of regulation since joining the Buccaneers in 2023. That’s the fourth-highest rating of any NFL quarterback in that situation in that span. Just ahead of Mayfield in third place is Houston’s C.J. Stroud, at 104.0. Mayfield threw a game-winning touchdown pass to Emeka Egbuka with 59 seconds left in the season-opener at Atlanta.

The number of regular season games the Buccaneers have played since their last punt or kickoff return for a touchdown by Micheal Spurlock against Atlanta on November 7, 2010. Every other team in the NFL has scored at least one kick return touchdown in that span. Kam Johnson, whose 54 yards punt return against Atlanta in Week One was the team’s longest since the 2015 season, looks like he has the potential to end that drought.
