The Class of 2028 is expected to feature a wealth of talent in the Dallas area, with several players already ranked among 247Sports’ top 200 nationally.

Here are the area’s top-ranked players:

James Foster III, Lancaster, S

Foster is the No. 4 safety in the Class of 2028 and the No. 40 overall player, according to 247Sports. The 6-1 safety was named District 11-6A Defensive Newcomer of the Year as a freshman. He also ran season-best times of 15.39 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles and 43.16 in the 300 hurdles, according to MileSplit.

Damarion Mays, North Crowley, WR

Mays is the No. 5 player from Texas in the Class of 2028. The 6-2 wide receiver has four catches for 77 yards and one touchdown in his first season at North Crowley. He transferred from Life Oak Cliff, where he caught 68 passes for 1,640 yards and 14 touchdowns as a freshman.

Brendyn Jackson, Midlothian, WR

The four-star wide receiver is the No. 12-ranked player from Texas in the Class of 2028. Jackson led Midlothian in receptions (44), receiving yards (706) and touchdowns (7) as a freshman.

Carter Zingelmann, Coppell, QB

Zingelmann is the highest-ranked quarterback in the Dallas area in the Class of 2028. He has five offers after serving as the backup to former Coppell quarterback Edward Griffin, now at Baylor.

Taylor is the highest-ranked cornerback in the Dallas area in the Class of 2028. He has five offers and is the No. 15-ranked player in the Class of 2028.

Jayden Thompson, Lovejoy, OT

Thompson is the highest-ranked offensive lineman in the Dallas area in the Class of 2028. He helped Lovejoy post the area’s No. 2 scoring offense at 48.4 points per game and the No. 6 total offense at 421.9 yards per game.
