A standoff with Dallas police ended peacefully late Tuesday night after an armed suspect entered a South Dallas home with three people inside and refused to come out for several hours, authorities said.
No injuries were reported after police were called around 6:45 p.m. to a home on an assist officer call in the 3700 block of Dildock Street.
According to police, the unidentified suspect and a witness had argued before officers were called to find and arrest the suspect.
That’s when the armed individual allegedly entered a home with three people inside and refused to leave despite several orders by police who had arrived at the scene.

Dallas SWAT officers were called to the residence before the suspect and all those inside safely exited the house, according to police.
“The suspect and the witnesses are known to one another,” police said. They added that the suspect was arrested for outstanding felony warrants.
Police did not immediately disclosed what the suspect and the other person had argued about.
