HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. — A new art gallery has made its way to Hendersonville’s 7th Avenue District.
The Art League of Henderson County held the grand opening of The Art Place Gallery on Friday, June 27.
More than 100 people gathered to celebrate.

The new space holds 1,800 square feet of art.
It features work from the La Vie en Rosé Fine Art and music festival and pieces done locally in the mountains.
The art league hopes to continue expanding and make art more accessible to everyone.

“We’re actually applying for a grant to include more, be more inclusive to the neighborhoods, to maybe children who never have had an opportunity. We’re hoping we get that award and we’ll be able to expand to make art more available to a bigger audience and a bigger community,” Art League of Henderson County president, Patsy Dupree said.
The artwork will be on display through the end of July.
The space will also be used to hold regional art shows, including one next month.
