Just as the Cowboys got Trevon Diggs back in the lineup, they could be without their other top cornerback.
DaRon Bland has a right foot injury and will miss a couple of weeks, a person with knowledge of the injury told The Dallas Morning News. The total length of Bland’s absence will be determined by his rehab progress.
Of note, the injury is in his right foot and unrelated to the stress fracture he suffered in his left foot last season. He played in only seven games in 2024 because of the left foot injury.
According to ESPN, Bland injured his foot during practice Monday. He did not practice for the Cowboys on Wednesday.

This injury complicates things for the Cowboys, who were easing Diggs back into the lineup as he returns from his offseason knee surgery. He played just 27 out of 63 possible snaps in Dallas’ loss to the Eagles last week.
Dallas values Bland’s versatility, shown by the four-year extension the Cowboys signed him to before the season began. His ability to play both on the outside in base situations and slot corner in nickel situations is key for Matt Eberflus’ defense.
