North Texas mom creates safety keychain for school-aged children

A North Texas mom is turning a frightening bus mix-up into a tool she hopes will help families across Texas.

Dawna Duke says the idea came after her daughter didn’t get off the bus when she was supposed to. That panic pushed her to create a small keychain that clips onto a child’s backpack. With one quick scan of the student’s keychain, school staff can instantly see the parent’s contact information.
