Tia’s Taco Hut is on the expansion path once again.

The San Antonio-based Tex-Mex chain will soon start work a 15th location, this one in the Northeastern suburb of Windcrest, according to state regulatory filings.

Tia’s will open the new restaurant at 6032 Montgomery Drive near the neighborhood’s H-E-B grocery and Brook Falls Park, Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation records show.

The company will spend $130,000 finishing out the space, and completion is slated for Oct. 31, according to state documents.

Founded by restaurateurs Benny and Lisa Costello, Tia’s has expanded rapidly across the San Antonio area, including one New Braunfels store. Its website lists 13 currently operating restaurants along with a unit at 3643 Evans, #101, Evans Road that’s “coming soon.”

Tia’s restaurants serve up affordable Tex-Mex standards for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including not just tacos but enchiladas, fajita plates, nachos, tortas and more. The menu also includes a few burgers and sandwiches.
