STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — For decades, buses have played an integral role in transportation on Staten Island.
From city buses to school buses, Staten Island residents have long relied on the large, lumbering vehicles to travel within the borough and to other parts of the city — with Staten Island lacking the railway infrastructure of other nearby areas.
