Stefanos Tsitsipas’ results since reappointing his father as head coach have not gone the way he would have hoped.
After a first-round exit at Wimbledon, Tsitsipas parted ways with Goran Ivanisevic and teamed up with Apostolos Tsitsipas once again ahead of the North American hard-court swing.
Despite the switch-up in his player box, the Greek star’s performances have remained underwhelming, having bowed out in the first and second rounds in Toronto and Cincinnati, respectively, before losing in round two at the US Open.
As well as his ongoing struggles on the court, Tsitsipas says he has been making mistakes outside of tennis.

In an interview with Sky Sports, he explained: “I release all the stress by going on social media and watching videos for hours, because I like them.
“I realised that it would do me good if I set myself the goal for the next one, two, three years or even more, of not using social media.
“I talked to the team that helps me with it, and I chose to stop following all the people I followed.
“It’s not about the people I followed, but rather the fact that I want to become independent of social media.

“Lately, with all the travel and stress I’ve been through, I’ve found my peace, breaking away from stress through social media, which is wrong.
“My goal is to show that I’m abandoning social media and give young people, whether they play sports or not, an incentive to go out too.”
Stefanos Tsitsipas’ short-lived US Open campaign
Tsitsipas entered the US Open having picked up just one win in each of the three hard-court tune-up events he featured at, which came in the first round of the Cincinnati Open.
The 27-year-old managed to win his first match at Flushing Meadows after coming back from a set down to best Alexandre Muller.
His second-round opponent came in the form of Daniel Altmaier, against whom he found himself with a 2-1 lead heading into the fourth set.
The German fought back, however, and handed Tsitsipas yet another shock defeat at a Grand Slam this year.
