The Cowboys went toe-to-toe with the defending Super Bowl champions to kick off their 2025 season, and will look to build on their solid play against the Eagles in Week 2. This time they hope it will land them in the win column vs. the Giants.

Unless a return to AT&T Stadium sparks Cam Skattebo, don’t look for the Giants’ ground game to be too mobile Sunday. The Arizona State star who nearly derailed Texas’ season in the CFP went for minus-3 yards on 2 carries against Washington. Still, it’s hard to see Dallas generating more than long drives for mostly field goals until we see more production from an offense that went silent after halftime in Philadelphia.

The biggest challenge for the Cowboys will be the Giants’ defensive line. I think they can handle it. Outside of that, I see a lot of advantages for Dallas. I expect a big bounce-back game for receiver CeeDee Lamb.

The Cowboys looked better than expected in their season opener in Philadelphia, while the NY Giants, well … looked like the NY Giants. With a head coach on the hot seat, a quarterback who’s a mere shadow of the great player he was with the Seahawks, and an anemic offense, Dallas shouldn’t have much trouble securing their first win of the season.

On the heels of coming within CeeDee Lamb’s three dropped passes of beating the Eagles, the Giants look like easy pickings. This isn’t the version of Russell Wilson who once gave the Cowboys fits. After losing their first and 500th games, they’ll win the organization’s 1,000th in convincing fashion for a change. If not, the heat turns up on Brian Schottenheimer.

So we finally get to the home opener and the Cowboys don’t have cornerback DaRon Bland (foot) due to an injury. The Giants will also be without linebacker Micah McFadden because of an injury. The Cowboys should be fine here. This game will be close thanks to Russell Wilson and the desperation mode of the Giants. Meanwhile, the team that resides in AT&T Stadium should pull away in the second half. Trevon Diggs should get a pick in this one.
