The San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance will offer free parking at the zoo for Alliance members.
The foundation says it came to an agreement with city leaders during this weeks meeting.
The City of San Diego proposed implementing parking fees in other lots at Balboa Park as a way to deal with a 258 million dollar budget shortfall.
Membership with the alliance is $174 dollars a year and provides year-round admission to the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park, and now parking.
