San Diego: no rules — just wrong. As I walked the Mission Bay Boardwalk, this headline reverberated in my mind. It was 9:30 a.m. According to signs posted on the boardwalk, dogs are restricted from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from April 1 to Oct. 31. After I walked three miles, my dog count was 30. I had to keep my eyes focused on the ground instead of the beautiful ocean view because of all the dog poop that wasn’t picked up.
Signs also say no motorized vehicles are allowed. I lost track of the number of e-bikes that whizzed by me.
What is happening to our beautiful boardwalk, which is meant for walkers/runners and non-motorized vehicles?
Perhaps a fine for infractions would compensate for some of the budget deficit instead of skyrocketing parking fees everywhere, especially at our beloved zoo and Balboa Park.
