The taco ATM dispenses tacos to the hungry late-night crowd in Fort Worth.
FORT WORTH, Texas — There’s an ATM in North Texas that dispenses tacos instead of cash. Let’s (sorry) “taco ’bout” how to find it.
The machine is in Fort Worth’s West 7th District at 2811 Bledsoe St. and it serves up tacos for the late-night, weekend crowd from 10 p.m. to 2:45 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays, according to Emil Bragdon of of Funky Lime Hospitality. It’s the ATM machine that says “Automated Taco Machine Company.”
“You walk up to it, it’s very user friendly, you just place your order,” Bragdon said. “Just like an ATM spits out the money, this thing spits out tacos.”
The menu, which is made out of a commercial kitchen, includes chicken, pork, or steak tacos on flour or corn tortillas, classic elotes, Flaming Hot Cheetos elotes, Takis elotes and bottled water.
Funky Lime Hospitality, which is the company behind the taco ATM, owns the nearby bar and restaurant Reservoir, as well as The Whiskey Garden, Koe Wetzel’s Riot Room, Shot: 30, Junk Punch, and Your Mom’s House.
The machine has drawn attention from passersby, Bragdon says.
Bragdon says they plan to open the taco ATM on Sundays as well by the end of the month.
“It’s a fun way to do things, it’s a little bit different, but people are having a lot of fun with it,” Bragdon said. “It’s been exciting to see the customer base excited about it as well.”
The machine was first reported on by our content partners at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
