LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – The La Crosse Police Department is investigating a call for Shots Fired in the 1700 block of George Street that occurred early Friday morning.
Officers learned two individuals had been shot and went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries upon investigation around 2:09 a.m.
“Early this morning, at approximately 2:09 a.m., La Crosse Police responded to the 1700 block of George Street for a reported shooting. The initial investigation revealed that two individuals had been shot and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” said Captain Avrie Schott of the La Crosse Police Department’s Professional Standards and Community Services Bureau.
Police say the incident was targeted and isolated.
They are asking anyone living in the area with a camera to review video around the time of the incident and to reach out to report any suspicious activity.
