The two-time Grand Slam finalist has big dreams for the 38th-best team in the Davis Cup.
“My goal and dream is to one day win the Davis Cup with the team,” said Tsitsipas.
“It may sound outrageous because we don’t have a second player who is in the Top 50 or Top 100, but I think it doesn’t matter right now.

“What matters is that we fight with what we have and with what we can, to reach as high as possible in the competition.
“I personally don’t look for money or anything in this. I do it solely out of passion for my country, I do it for my team.”
Tsitsipas went into further detail about his love for the Davis Cup and team competitions.
“There is more pride when you go out on the court. When I play on the tour, the feeling is different when I am on the court. Sharing these moments with the kids is something that gives me more motivation, because I feel like I am playing for something more than myself,” he said.

“I have always been excited to play for Greece; it has always given me a boost and motivation. I have always been excited by the idea of the Davis Cup, the United Cup, the team events.
“The team events create a completely different aura, and I would say that they are one of the most beautiful weeks of the year. This week gives me the most rejuvenation.”
Tsitsipas has played 16 total matches at the Davis Cup throughout his career and holds an impressive 13-3 record.
He’s only lost one singles match at the Davis Cup, falling to Slovakia’s Alex Molcan in 2023.
