Chloe O. Davis, Yannick-Robin Eike, Samuel Langshteyn Will Be Spotlighted in New York Theatre Barn Choreography Lab

The 12th season of New York Theatre Barn’s Choreography Lab will feature Jay Alan Zimmerman’s theatrical song cycle Songs for Hands on a Thursday, spotlighting choreographers Chloe O. Davis (Hell’s Kitchen, Gypsy), yannick-robin eike (Mr. Holland’s Opus), and Samuel Langshteyn (Deaf Broadway’s Rent).
This year’s lab, moderated by Jeff Calhoun (Newsies), is supporting a large group of artists across discplines, and includes those who are Deaf, hearing, and disabled. The song cycle has been adapted from Sarah Ruhl‘s 44 Poems for You, and features concepts and music by Jay Alan Zimmerman and words from Ruhl’s work.
Evan T. Cummings is directing the September 18 event, and Garrett Zuercher is director of artistic sign language. Projection design will be by Katy S. Tucker, with Amanda D’Archangelis as sound engineer and Emily Garcia as assistant director. The lab is curated by Avital Asuleen and executive-produced by Kate Trammell.
Performers will include Chris Corrigan, Treshelle Edmond, Kellie-Jean Hoagland, Kat Katona, Samuel Langshteyn, yannick-robin eike, Malik Paris, Christopher Tester, Alexandria Wailes, and Yepez.
