“It was a terrible night at what I feel is one of our best racetracks as a team with the No. 2 Whelen Chevrolet. I have no idea why, we definitely tried everything. We were different than we were here in the Spring, and maybe that was our error, but nothing went our way tonight. It could always be worse, but tonight was pretty bad. Obviously we’re below the cut line, but nothing we can’t dig ourselves out of.”

“We struggled bad with our Bennett Transportation & Logistics Chevrolet. It’s a bummer because everyone at RCR and ECR works extremely hard. Our No. 21 team brought a brand-new package here and everything on paper showed that it was going to be better. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t for whatever reason. We definitely missed something. Bristol (Motor Speedway) isn’t one of my better tracks as a driver either, so I’m not helping our case when we come here. We have to keep digging deep. This is not how we wanted to start the Playoffs, but the good thing is going into the next two races we have shown speed and run inside the top-five at both. I’m glad that we have those two tracks coming up next.”
