Fire EMS first Responder (KPRC2/Click2Houston.com)
A police officer was injured after being involved in a car wreck with a city vehicle in southwest Houston.
The three-vehicle was reported to HFD officials at 5:55 p.m. Saturday night.
The collision happened at 2699 Fondren Road, near the intersection with Westheimer Road.
The officer was trapped inside the police vehicle. Right as rescue crews arrived to help, the officer managed to free himself from the car.
The officer was transported to Memorial Hermann in the Medical Center. Their condition is not known at this time.
