The Atlanta Hawks decided to go all-in on their roster this offseason and added some key pieces, taking up a lot of space in their payroll.

The Atlanta Hawks have made a concerted effort to try and land some key players, thus building a contender in the Eastern Conference.

To start the summer, the Hawks traded for Kristaps Porzingis to land a center replacement for the departing Clint Capela.

In addition to that, the Hawks signed and traded for Nickeil Alexander-Walker to add another backcourt option alongside Trae Young.

These moves were made to keep Trae Young happy, as the star is entering the final year of his contract. But how much is he and the rest of the squad making next season?

Atlanta Hawks must make expensive roster worth the investment

Heading into this season, the Atlanta Hawks are paying an exorbitant sum of money for the roster that they’ve put together.

Of course, no team is going to pay this kind of money without expecting some type of success in return from the players.

The Hawks surveyed the Eastern Conference and realized that they can compete for an NBA championship if they get the right pieces on board.

As such, these new signings and roster moves must help the Hawks make a significant impact and go on a run in the playoffs.
