Benson Varghese, founder and CEO of Fort Worth-based Varghese Summersett and Lawft, has released a new book, Tapped In: Lessons for Law Firm Growth, now available on Amazon.
The book shares Varghese’s blueprint for building a successful law firm and launching a law practice management platform to help attorneys grow and scale their practices.
It recounts his journey from growing up on a rubber plantation in India to establishing one of Texas’ fastest-growing law firms and highlights the lessons he learned as both a lawyer and entrepreneur.
“This book is the guide I wish I had when I started my law firm in a one-room office with $9,000 I borrowed from an uncle,” Varghese said in a press release. “Over the years, I’ve paid plenty of ‘tuition’— the cost of learning through experience. But you don’t have to pay for every lesson yourself. You can learn from others who are willing to share their journey.”
Varghese offers practical strategies to help attorneys build more efficient practices, leverage technology to enhance client experiences, and navigate the evolving legal landscape.
The book details the founding and growth of Varghese Summersett, a personal injury, criminal defense, and family law firm with offices in Fort Worth, Dallas, Southlake, and Houston. In parallel, it outlines Varghese’s creation of Lawft, a law practice management platform he developed with his wife and law partner, Anna Summersett, after he couldn’t find a system that met his needs.
The couple unveiled Lawft at the 2025 ABA TechShow, winning second place for emerging technologies.
“I spent years searching for a law practice management platform that could provide everything I needed to scale,” he said. “What I discovered is that it didn’t exist. So, I built it myself.”
