SAN ANTONIO — The medical examiner has released the name of the second victim whose body was recovered near Salado Creek earlier this month after heavy rains swept through the area.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 52-year-old Robert Gaytan on Monday. His cause of death was listed as an apparent drowning.

Gaytan was found on Sep. 1 alongside Nicole Lynn Keller, 43, after officers were called to the 12500 block of Maltsberger Lane for reports of a deceased person in the nearby creek.
Officers searched the area for other possible victims after being notified of three missing homeless people who had not been seen since the previous night’s rainstorm.
The third missing person was found safe and police said they are not looking for anyone else in this incident.
