Tomato Wine Dinner at 61 Osteria
Commemorate the end of summer at this dinner featuring a bounty of summer tomatoes. Chef Blaine Staniford will prepare a tomato terrine, frozen gazpacho with currant tomatoes, grilled zucchini bread with tomato jam, black cod with fermented tomatillo, green tomato piccata, and tomato butter, tomato sorbet, and more. Dinner is $160 plus tax and gratuity, and begins at 6:30 pm with a bubbly reception followed by seating at 7 pm.

Okinawan Omakase at Tokyo Café
This six-course Japanese dining experience promises a taste of the islands of Okinawa. Menu items include daikon fukumeni in kombu chicken stock, twice-fried chicken karaage, hirayachi (an Okinawan-style crepe), madai crudo with pickled papaya, goya champuru with beer-braised pork belly, and sata andagi, Okinawan fried dough with cinnamon sugar. Dinner is $80 plus tax and gratuity, and begins at 7 pm.

Passport Germany festivities continue at Central Market locations through September 23, and this weekend brings an event that keeps the kiddos in mind.
