A man has been arrested and is accused of causing a crash that killed a woman, her unborn child and two others on Labor Day in Tarrant County.

Orbin Zelaya Aguilar was arrested Wednesday and faces charges of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and intoxication assault with a vehicle, according to a news release from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office.

Zelaya Aguilar was one of the drivers in the four-vehicle crash that occurred in the 8700 block of FM 1187 around 8:30 p.m. Sept. 1, deputies said.

Irma Garcia-Vasquez, 34, Francisco Chavez-Garcia, 24, and an unborn girl identified as baby Garcia-Vasquez all died in the crash, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Two people were taken to a hospital in critical condition. Marisol Villalobos, 52, later died from her injuries, according to the medical examiner.

Zelaya Aguilar faces an intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle charge for each of the victims killed in the crash, including the unborn child.

“This is a heartbreaking and preventable tragedy. Four lives were lost because of one person’s reckless decision to drive under the influence,” Tarrant County Sheriff Bill Waybourn said in the release.

Zelaya Aguilar was booked into the Tarrant County jail. No bail is currently posted.
