A streamer known around the world caused a frenzy in Fort Worth during his stop in North Texas. It was part of his 35-day non-stop live stream event.

IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., was met by screaming fans wanting a glimpse of the star.

In the age of famous streamers, for many, it doesn’t get any better than IShowSpeed. The young streamer has tens of millions of followers on Instagram and subscribers on YouTube.

Many of those people live right here in North Texas. They crowded the streets to get a coveted shot of the online star.

“It was fun, it was crazy, everybody was pushing each other,” said one follower.

The Fort Worth stop was part of the 35-day speed “Speed Does America” tour – a 24/7 live stream event across the United States. Speed rose to fame for his livestreaming stunts, content, and viral moments on YouTube.

He has a young global audience and is especially popular among gamers and soccer fans.

“I was watching the stream at home when I saw him passing by on 28th street, so I decided to come out here,” said another follower.

In true Texas fashion, Speed was seen wearing a cowboy hat and was said to have eaten at Whataburger. As for the excitement around his visit, those who get it just get it.

Speed also made a few stops in Dallas and was seen on SMU’s campus, where he was also met with a lot of fanfare and excitement
