The third annual New York Sports Emmy Awards ceremony is taking place Tuesday in New York City, and 13WHAM could bring home hardware.
Jenna Cottrell is nominated in the Sports Story – Short Form Content (up to 10 minutes) category for her story on Bills running back Ray Davis finding a home in Buffalo after spending most of his childhood in and out of homeless shelters and foster care.
The story is up against five other nominees:
- New York Liberty — Fans Are Just Different: Liberty Unlocked
- Buffalo Bills — QB Josh Allen Designs Cleats with Kids from Oishei Children’s Hospital for My Cause My Cleats
- News 12 — Paper Football Super Bowl 8
- Spectrum News NY1 — Rotisserie Baseball: The Original Fantasy Sports League
- New York Yankees — Recap: 2024 ALCS Game 5
The ceremony starts at 1 p.m. It will be livestreamed on the award organization’s website.
13WHAM also received a nomination for the 68th annual New York Emmy Awards, which is set to take place Oct. 11 in New York City.
