Paige Bueckers was named the WNBA Rookie of the Year on Tuesday, capping off a historic first season with the Dallas Wings.

The Wings selected Bueckers out of UConn with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA draft after capping off her collegiate career with a championship.

In 36 games with the Wings, Bueckers averaged 19.2 points, 5.4 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 steals.

Bueckers tallied the third-most points (692) and assists (194) by a rookie in WNBA history, while posting the highest single-game scoring performance ever by a rookie with her 44-point outing at the Los Angeles Sparks on Aug. 20.

She is the only rookie in WNBA history to average at least 19 points per game while shooting at least 47% from the field.

Bueckers was also named the AP Rookie of the Year last week.
