EXCLUSIVE: Stanley Simons (The Iron Claw) has closed a deal to star alongside Cory Michael Smith, Chase Sui Wonders and Sophie Wilde in October, writer-director Jeremy Saulnier’s mysterious genre picture for A24.

The project brings Simons bak to the studio following his turn opposite Zac Efron, Harris Dickinson and Jeremy Allen White in its lauded wrestling drama The Iron Claw from writer-director Sean Durkin.

Character details are under wraps. The plot is as well, though sources have described the project as a fugitive thriller set during Halloween. Saulnier is directing from his own script, with A24 producing and financing.

Rich Peete (Neighborhood Watch), Eli Bush (Central) and Jeremy Saulnier & Skei Saulnier (Niteowl Films) are producing the horror action thriller, with Ronald Bronstein and Josh Safdie (Central), Traci Carlson and Elliott Coley (Neighborhood Watch) and Macon Blair (Bonneville Pictures) exec producing.

Simons played wrestler Mike Von Erich in The Iron Claw and has also been seen on shows like Apple’s Little America. He’ll next be seen starring opposite Jay Baruchel, Devon Bostick and Barbie Ferreira in the indie dramedy Mile End Kicks, from filmmaker Chandler Levack, which is coming off its premiere at TIFF. He is repped by Gersh and M88.
