Man dies when car hits tree on Joeandy Road: JSO

Deadly crash on Joeandy Road (WJXT)

A man died early Monday morning when he lost control of his Ford Mustang and hit a tree on Joeandy Road North, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

Police said the crash was reported at about 2:30 a.m., nearly two blocks east of Girvin Road.

According ot JSO, a man in his mid-30s was driving on Joeandy Road North when he lost control and hit a tree in the center median.

He died at the scene.

This is the 114th traffic fatality in Duval County this year, JSO said. It was the third in less than 6 hours overnight.

The other two involved motorcycles.
