Chargers vs. Broncos picks against the spread

Jordan Mendoza: Los Angeles Chargers (-2.5)

Los Angeles may be the dark horse Super Bowl contender with how it’s playing on both sides of the ball. Justin Herbert puts up a spectacular performance to make the Chargers 3-0 for the first time since 2002.

Jon Hoefling: Los Angeles Chargers (-2.5)

While I still have faith in the Broncos’ defense, it’s hard to feel good about betting on them after Jonathan Taylor tore them up. Furthermore, Bo Nix’s early season struggles offer a massive disadvantage when compared to Justin Herbert’s early season success.

Tyler Dragon: Los Angeles Chargers (-2.5)

The Chargers have a prime opportunity to go 3-0 in the AFC West after three weeks. Jim Harbaugh will have the Chargers ready. A 3-0 start in the division would send a statement.

Christopher Bumbaca: Denver Broncos (+2.5)

This is a come back to Earth moment for Justin Herbert and the Chargers — albeit against an elite defensive unit. The Broncos’ offense also needs a bit of redemption and if they can run the ball on LA that’s certainly in the cards.

Blake Schuster: Los Angeles Chargers (-2.5)

If this line moves up to 3.5, I’d reconsider taking the Chargers. Denver’s defense will be the toughest test for Justin Herbert’s offense yet, but Broncos’ quarterback Bo Nix needs to clean up his game a little more before I can fully trust him on the road in a divisional matchup.

Lorenzo Reyes: Los Angeles Chargers (-2.5)

This is a dynamite matchup, and the Chargers are looking like they could blossom into a legitimate threat in the AFC. Denver’s defense is better than its Week 2 showing, so I think the Broncos bounce back some here, but Justin Herbert is playing the best football of his career.
