A 41-year-old man has been identified as the driver of a speeding vehicle involved in a chain reaction crash in Dallas on Sunday.
Joab Acosta died at Methodist Dallas Medical Center at 2:29 a.m. Sunday, following the vehicle accident, according to the Dallas County medical examiner’s office.
The three-vehicle collision occurred at FM 1382 at West Camp Wisdom Road around 2:20 a.m., Dallas police said.
Two of the vehicles had been slowing down as they approached a traffic light on the road when another vehicle approached at high speed, police said. The speeding vehicle collided with the middle vehicle from behind, pushing it into the one in front.

The occupants inside the middle car were also taken to a hospital, while people in the first car had minor injuries, police said.
