First Bank Texas has announced in a press release the promotion of Brooks Ferguson to chief credit officer.
Ferguson, most recently an executive VP and senior credit officer at the bank, will oversee the bank’s credit administration, lending policies, and risk management practices.
“Brooks has demonstrated exceptional leadership and deep knowledge of credit management,” said Zan Prince, chairman of First Bank Texas, in a statement. “His ability to balance risk with opportunity makes him the right choice to lead our credit strategy as we continue to grow and serve our customers.”
First Bank Texas, chartered in 1880, is a community-focused financial institution serving customers across DFW and West Texas.
“I am honored to step into this role and continue working alongside such a talented team,” said Ferguson. “First Bank Texas has a long tradition of supporting our communities, and I look forward to helping our customers achieve their financial goals while maintaining the strength and stability of our institution.”
