Amazfit is rolling out another update for the Active 2 and Active 2 Premium smartwatches. Version Number 6.1.20.2 has been reported by users on social media. It arrives a couple of weeks after version 6.1.18.3, which brought a change for always-on display (AOD) mode and enhanced touch interactions.
It appears that the release notes for 6.1.20.2 are identical to those of version 6.1.18.3. However, Reddit users note that this update fixes an issue linked to maps, which appeared with the previous release. This bug meant that the map was not displayed correctly, with the compass and location icon layered over a blank screen.
Several other Active 2 smartwatch users have reported a possible new issue with this latest update. They flag a “laggy” experience when scrolling through the list of apps or activities. It has been suggested that a Factory Reset could resolve this issue, though users have yet to feedback as to whether or not this works.
Software version 6.1.20.2 is rolling out in phases to users of the Amazfit Active 2 and Active 2 Premium (curr. $129.99 at Amazon) smartwatches. So far, it has arrived for some customers in the US and in European countries like Denmark. When it is available, you will be able to download the update via the Zepp app.
