PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for Sep. 17, 2025:
My Kitchen – 4049 E Williams Field Rd, Gilbert
3 violations:
- Employee handled raw chicken then didn’t wash hands
- Raw egg stored above lettuce
- Egg rolls not date-marked
Frutilandia – 1011 S Gilbert Rd, Mesa
3 violations:
- Sliced beef not cooling properly
- Cooked shrimp not kept at proper temperature
- Corn and beans not date-marked
The Taco Spot – 14884 N Pima Rd, Scottsdale
3 violations:
- No certified food manager
- Dishwasher not cleaning properly
- Beef not kept hot enough
Buck and Rider– 7015 E Mayo Blvd, Phoenix
3 violations:
- Chef battering raw chicken then not washing hands
- Dark residue in ice machine
- Goat cheese in prep fridge not cold enough
Kodo Sushi Chandler – 2430 S Gilbert Rd, Chandler
4 violations:
- Employee touched face, then prepared orders
- Employee touched tempura shrimp with bare hands
- Raw eggs stored above onions
- Raw fish not packaged properly
