PHOENIX – Investigations are underway after two shootings early Thursday involving metro Phoenix police officers, authorities said.
The police shootings took place on opposite sides of the Valley, in Mesa and Glendale. No officers were injured in either incident.
The East Valley shooting occurred just after midnight at the 900 block of S. Pasadena, near Mesa Drive and Southern Avenue, according to the Mesa Police Department.
When two officers responded to a call about a family fight, the suspect came out of the home and pointed a gun at them. That prompted both officers to fire their duty weapons at the 33-year-old man, police said.
The suspect was provided medical attention at the scene before being taken to a hospital. No details about his condition were provided.
The Tempe Police Department is investigating the Mesa police shooting as part of the East Valley Critical Incident Response Team.

The man killed by police was identified as 28-year-old Adrian Green, according to ABC15. No other details about the Glendale incident were immediately available.
