Police are looking for a driver who threw not one, but two kittens out the window of a moving vehicle onto a Long Island highway earlier this summer.

The incident happened in mid-June, but authorities are now asking for help identifying and finding the driver in the case of kitten dumping along Montauk Highway, near Fleets Point Drive, in West Babylon. They haven’t released any information about the driver except to say the vehicle involved was a sedan.

According to investigators, one of the kittens was struck by a passing car and killed. The other kitten was taken for veterinary care and survived. Authorities also released a photo of the surviving animal.

Anyone with information is asked to call Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
