SAN ANTONIO — An El Paso man is facing charges for making threatening phone calls to authorities in San Antonio, including a direct threat to Police Chief William McManus.
Ruben Martinez has been charged with making a terroristic threat against a peace officer.
According to the arrest report, Martinez made several calls in June to the Southwest Texas Fusion Center. He was reportedly upset that police had not helped him get in contact with his son, who was with Martinez’s ex-wife.
At one point, Martinez threatened to kill Chief McManus and everyone at the fusion center. Bond has been set at $75,000.
