Several new businesses that opened their doors in the hottest months of the year are already seeing momentum and community support in Glendale.

HTeaO, the Texas-based iced tea franchise, opened its first location in Arizona just outside Westgate. The chain’s 150th grand opening in July had a huge turnout, giving away 430 free cups of tea and 827 half-priced gallons.

Since then HTeaO in Glendale has since become one of the company’s top-ranked stores in the nation. The  iced tea made with 100% natural ingredients using a proprietary water filtration system. And there is a BOGO happy hour every day from 2–4 p.m.

“Our partners within the Westgate Entertainment District, the City of Glendale and the Glendale Chamber of Commerce have opened doors and opportunities that are unparalleled. We are excited to continue to partner up with various schools, community outreach programs and first responders to truly be one with the Glendale community,” Owner, Justin “JT” Turner stated in a press release.

Meanwhile, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games has taken the Valley by storm, on the other side of Loop 101 from Westgate and STate Farm Stadium. The entertainment spot features high-speed electric karting, virtual reality experiences, arcade games, and upscale dining.

Since opening its Glendale location in late April, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games has generated $6.2 million in total sales, exceeding its target by $200,000. The location ranks second only to the Orlando location as the company’s top-performing store during this time frame.

Group sales contributed significantly, totaling more than $867,000. Walk-in revenue has also been strong, led by $2.2 million in track sales and $1.2 million from arcade games.

Additional revenue includes $525,000 from entertainment packages, $600,000 in food sales, and more $1.1 million in beverage sales. Attractions like bowling, laser tag, and VR have brought in nearly $260,000.

The Glendale site employs 200 hourly team members and welcomed nearly 200,000 visitors since opening.
