A man suffered minor burns to his fingers on one hand during a fire Sunday morning at a downtown Los Angeles high rise that was held in check by the 14-story structure’s fire sprinklers and subsequently knocked down by arriving firefighters, authorities said.
The man declined transport to a hospital and no other injuries were reported, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters were dispatched at 4:34 a.m. to 215 W. 7th St., where there was fire in one unit on the 11th floor, which was knocked down at 4:58 a.m.
The cause was under investigation.
