—Happy anniversary: The Fulton Market restaurant Carnivale held a party on Sept. 10 to mark its 20th anniversary.

Since opening in 2005, the Pan-Latin restaurant has welcomed more than 4.1 million guests, hosted more than 22,000 private events, celebrated 300,000 birthdays and sold more than 120,000 of its signature Cotton Candy Martinis. Over the past few years, the space has launched Copa Carnivale, a 90-minute dinner entertainment experience; the pop-up speakeasy The Alley at Carnivale; and Komal, a Latin-style six-seat omakase experience.

—The light way: Casa Chi by Chef Richard Sandoval is offering Reform Cocktails—a new lineup of handcrafted drinks under 120 calories. Highlights include:

On a related note, the restaurant has also announced its updated Pour Decisions Boozy Tea Experience, available Sundays at 12-4 p.m. at $59 per person. Offerings include Jalisco Jasmine Passion Fruit Margarita, Hibiscus Paloma Punch, Earl Grey Breeze and Chamomile Coconut Cooler. —Cold front: Ben & Jerry’s co-founder Jerry Greenfield has left the ice-cream giant after Unilever, which owns the company, clamped down on any social activism, the BBC noted.

Greenfield’s departure marks the latest move in a battle that started in 2021 when Ben & Jerry’s said it would stop selling its ice cream in Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. Ben & Jerry’s has long been known for taking a public stance on social issues since it was founded in 1978, often backing campaigns on issues like LGBTQ+ rights and climate change.

However, a Unilever spokesperson disagreed with Greenfield’s position, saying Unilever had “sought to engage both co-founders in a constructive conversation on how to strengthen Ben & Jerry’s powerful values-based position in the world.”
