SAN ANTONO – A clerk was stabbed multiple times during an attempted robbery at a West Side gas station.
The attack happened about 15 minutes after midnight Monday at the Roadster Shell station along U.S. Highway 90.
Police said a man walked into the store with a knife in his hand and pointed at the cash register without saying anything. The clerk wouldn’t open the register so the suspect jumped the counter and stabbed him in the back several times.
Investigators said the suspect grabbed a few items from the store and then ran off.
The clerk was taken to the hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
