83-year-old man struck, killed by vehicle on I-76 in Philadelphia, state police say

An 83-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday morning on Interstate 76 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania State Police said. 

The crash happened on I-76 westbound near Vare Avenue and Mifflin Street at around 6 a.m., according to state police. 

State police said the striking vehicle stayed on the scene.
