PHOENIX — A paraglider hit a power pole and became stuck in its lines during a Phoenix descent on Sunday morning, authorities said.
Crews with the Phoenix Fire Department reported to the entanglement near Thunderbird Road and Seventh Street around 6:30 a.m.
The unidentified adult man was able to get out of his harness and onto a nearby rock with the help of firefighters, who then helped him down the mountain.
He was evaluated on scene and elected not to be taken to the hospital, as there were no injuries to report.
