SAN ANTONIO – Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a driver who fatally struck a pedestrian this weekend.

On Tuesday, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) released a post on Facebook, asking for the public’s help in finding a hit-and-run driver.

According to BCSO, a pickup described by investigators as a white 2018-2021 Toyota Tundra fatally struck a male pedestrian before speeding away from the scene.

This collision happened around 1 a.m. on Sept. 21, along Texas Highway 16, near McCaughan Road, just outside of Poteet.

Investigators say the truck should have heavy damage to the front right side, specifically the passenger side, and is missing a part from the fender and right headlight.

Anyone with any information on the crash, the vehicle, or the driver is asked to call the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at 210-335-6070 or email at bcsotips@bexar.org.
